How to make your own Grand Theft AutoTM missions

Written by Michael Mendelsohn for the GTA Ideas Pages, last change: 27 Dec 1997

There are many uses for making your own GTA missions. A way to start is to make the powerup crates more rewarding and to change the car you start out with. However, it is possible to create your own storyline and distribute it to others.

At this time, not many tools are available to help you do this. However, a simple text editor like Write or Wordpad is enough (albeit not very comfortable) to make your own missions. A "Search" function will come in handy. Just make sure you always save in "Text" format. If you have never looked at MISSION.INI (in the GTADATA directory), load it into your favourite editor and do so now!

Consult the Handbook and observe the structure of the MISSION.INI file!
