First off, let me say that GTA is such a great game that most of the bugs actually add to the fun. (I except the one where you can't reach the red target when you have completed the first San Andreas Mission.) The game will not crash on them, and finding more of them can be a game on its own. Would it have been worth the effort to find and fix some? You decide!
The pedestrian is jumping "through" buses and other big vehicles. (GTA8.exe)
It happened in SE Island Heights: I followed a school bus to catch it and saw it enter the pavement and kill a pedestrian! I didn't know school bus drivers in NYC were allowed to drive while stoned...
Some crossings work incorrectly; the cars stop at a red light when leaving the crossing.
You can "walk on the water" in a few locations (see Things To Do for an example).
Some paramedics must love their job - one tended to a casualty when I stole the ambulance. A short while later - I had wasted and just left the hospital - I saw that same paramedic in the same spot tending to the blank pavement!
I was driving south on the 4-lane Guernsey city border highway when I noticed this big tanker parked at a strange angle. I swerved, didn't make it, hit it and didn't believe my eyes when it acted as if it wasn't there. I drove back into it and made this screenshot to show you that the graphics were there, but the tanker was not. Cause? I believe the game constructs those vehicles "on the fly"; they are made only shortly before you see them. Before tis happened, I had been driving wildly up and down on the highway; perhaps it was left half-constructed or half-removed when I came back...
I stopped a bus partially under a bridge and saw it appear as I got in. Once I got moving, all was back to normal immediately.
In the Park, I used a car to push a bench into the water - and it
didn't sink! In fact, it could be seen above the pavement when I
shifted my view to a point south of the bench. My guess is that the
bench is really at a lower level, but for some reason gets drawn
last = on top of everything.
A cop got caught under a car. Wriggle he would, but escape he could
not. What happened was that I'd been to the right of him; he ran
around the red car just as it was getting ready to go because the
lights had changed, I guess; and the poor guy got stuck. I got out
of the van to look and he still was stuck. Being a cop killer can be
an easy job sometimes.
